Chivalrous Knight – Gaza: The Gaza Ramadan Championship for veteran players was launched under the sponsorship of Operation Chivalrous Knight(3) at Khadamat Al-Nuseirat Club, with the attendance of national and sports figures, amid a massive public atmosphere. The Operation organized a grand ceremony at the club’s hall to launch the Ramadan competitions.
The opening ceremony featured an organized parade of the twenty participating teams, along with artistic and national performances. A heartfelt speech was delivered by one of the injured players, who spoke about their suffering, affirming that sports will remain a message of resilience and hope.
Ali Al-Shehhi, Head of the UAE Mission in Gaza, affirmed that the launch of the Ramadan Championship comes within the framework of supporting community and sports activities in the Strip. He explained that Operation Chivalrous Knight (3) is keen to organize events that combine the spirituality of the holy month of Ramadan with athletic activity, thereby fostering hope and reviving the spirit of togetherness among members of the community.
Dr. Khader Al-Majdalawi, Chairman of the Committee Supporting Operation Chivalrous Knight (3) in Gaza, affirmed that the launch of the Gaza Ramadan Championship for veteran athletes reflects the UAE Operation’s ongoing efforts to support community recovery and revive the sporting spirit in the Strip after a long period of difficult circumstances, which had deprived the community of cultural evenings, sports events, and championships.
The Palestinian audience looks forward to attending the championship competitions between the participating teams, after being deprived of sports contests and competitive tournaments due to the difficult circumstances and the war in Gaza.
